The fellows

01–10 / Class of 2026

Daniel Kaminski01

Software & hardware

Daniel Kaminski

Patch ’24

Daniel built Scand Bot, a toolkit for modifying Supercell games that reached 30,000 monthly active users over four years of solo development. His hardware projects include a semi-autonomous river-cleanup boat and a custom 3D-printing slicer for drone propellers. He also leads development of Silkrun, an AI operating environment for small businesses.

Darragh Evanson02

Robotics & energy

Darragh Evanson

Patch ’26

Darragh studies engineering at Trinity and builds mechanical and robotic systems. He led hardware design for a low-cost digital stethoscope prototype with AI-based arrhythmia classification, and co-built a semi-autonomous boat to locate river pollution. His other work includes designing and manufacturing a wheelchair lift; he is now developing a research proposal on electricity-grid efficiency.

Iniya Baskaran04

Interaction design

Iniya Baskaran

Patch ’26

Iniya studies interaction design at NCAD and works across physical products and software. At Patch, she co-built Spoonite, a prototype spoon that uses aroma and flavour to change how food tastes, taking on its compact hardware packaging and CAD design. She has also built an AI gym-coaching app and is exploring computer vision for fitness and physiotherapy.

Jakub Janoska05

Cybersecurity

Jakub Janoska

Patch ’24

Jakub studies computer science at UCD and builds offensive-security tools. His automated vulnerability-testing pipeline, Blueprint, generated $3,000 in bug bounties in its best month, with findings manually validated and submitted. He also developed a Google Cloud reconnaissance tool, teaches security through his JakSec YouTube channel, and is building infrastructure for autonomous security workflows.

Kamaya Gogna06

Robotics & embedded systems

Kamaya Gogna

Patch ’25

Kamaya builds robotics and embedded systems. At Anaula, she developed the electronics and sensor integration for a 250-litre autonomous algae photobioreactor. At 16, she designed a PCB and LED-control system for Akara’s hospital sanitation robot that became part of its commercial product. Her other work includes a robotics debugging tool and machine learning for dental imaging.

Lorcan Grimes07

Aerospace & engineering software

Lorcan Grimes

Patch ’26

Lorcan graduated top of his aerospace engineering degree at Queen’s Belfast and now works as a design engineer at Boeing. He designed and led the build of Banshee Mk2, which set Irish student altitude and speed records at 4.5 km and over Mach 2. He also co-built Co-Roc, an engineering workspace for rocket teams.

Owais Korejo08

Consumer software

Owais Korejo

Patch ’26

Owais is the solo developer and designer behind Grooves, a music social network with 30,000 users, grown without a marketing budget. He previously built a poster business to $110,000 in sales and used it to fund his education at 16. Now studying computer science and business at Trinity, he is building a wider portfolio of consumer apps.

Paula Luisa Brüdrich09

Manufacturing robotics

Paula Luisa Brüdrich

Patch ’26

Paula studies computer and electronic engineering at Trinity. She co-built ArcTek, a vision-guided robotic welding prototype, working on the 3D-camera interface and hand–eye calibration. As Formula Trinity’s powertrain lead, she built the car’s intake, exhaust, cooling and fuel systems. She is exploring whether to turn ArcTek into a company after graduation.

Seán O’Sullivan10

Electronics & robotics

Seán O’Sullivan

Patch ’24

Seán studies immersive software engineering at UL and works on robotic manipulation at Analog Devices in collaboration with Cambridge. He leads electronics for UL’s high-powered rocketry team. His personal projects include a rocket-borne cosmic-ray detector and Pace, a 13 mm wearable pacing-display prototype with an eight-layer circuit board and 60 hand-assembled LEDs.

Patch Team

Behind the fellowship

Jake Casserly01

Patch Team · Autonomy & embedded systems

Jake Casserly

Patch ’24

Jake studies computer science at Trinity, where he led Formula Trinity’s autonomous division. He previously worked on Intel’s neural processing unit architecture team and built a robot dog during Patch. His interests span embedded systems, computer vision and autonomous vehicles; he is helping organise this year’s fellowship.

Donal McDermott02

Patch Team · Community & software

Donal McDermott

Patch ’25

Donal helps run STEM Racing Ireland nationally and co-organises Breakpoint, a builder night in Galway. He co-built Cashew, an AI contact book, and is developing shipping automation for Irish e-commerce businesses. His earlier projects include a man-overboard detection system; he spent summer 2026 as a software engineering intern at Ericsson.

Leah Newman03

Patch Team · Assistive technology

Leah Newman

Patch ’25

Leah designs assistive devices through neurorehabilitation research with Trinity and Beaumont Hospital, working with patients and clinicians on 3D-printed tools for neurological disabilities. At Patch, she led sampling software for ScopeLab, a wireless robotics debugging tool. She returned as an associate and grants lead and is a founding committee member of Trinity Robotics.

Sanat Thukral04

Patch Team · Machine learning & BCIs

Sanat Thukral

Sanat leads Patch and is completing a PhD in machine learning and brain–computer interfaces. He runs the SF fellowship and is exploring what to build next as he finishes both his doctorate and his time leading the programme.
